24th August 2022 – Örnsköldsvik, Sweden – Clavister, a leader in high-performance, AI-based cybersecurity solutions, has been awarded a Proof of Concept (PoC) contract by Swedish Defence Material Administration (FMV), a government agency which reports to the nation’s Ministry of Defence (MoD), and the primary provider of equipment to the nation’s armed forces. As part of this PoC, Clavister will provide specialised cyber security technology that will enable military organisations to detect disturbances in satellite communications.
To win the contract, Clavister participated and competed in FMV’s ‘TechDay’ – the agency’s military innovation program, which aims to identify new technologies that have the potential to enhance the capabilities of the armed forces. This edition focused on space technology and while competing against some of the most innovative companies, Clavister and its proposal with the cutting-edge technology was chosen as the standout contestant.
Innovation in space is an essential part of achieving military advantage for Europe and cyber security needs to be embedded right at the heart of developing new innovative space technologies. We can expect the broader space sector to benefit from this work.

Clavister already works with large defence contractors like BAE Systems to deliver military-grade cybersecurity and protection for NATO-compliant combat vehicles.
